Zbigniew T. Kuźnicki

Professor

Zbigniew Kuźnicki graduated from the Faculty of Electronics at Warsaw University of Technology (diploma in solid state electronics in 1970). He defended his doctoral thesis in 1974 at the Faculty of Electronics of the Wrocław University of Technology. In 1985 he obtained a habilitation (post-doc) at the Institute of Fundamental Technical Problems of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN). In 1992 he received a habilitation at the University of Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg.

Zbigniew Kuźnicki held many positions abroad, in particular at the Institute of Applied Physics at the École polytechnique in Lausanne (Switzerland) and at the LAAS CNRS laboratory in Toulouse (France). The basic part of the scientific career took place in the CNRS (Toulouse, Strasbourg) and at the University of Strasbourg.

Zbigniew Kuźnicki was the initiator and co-organizer of the academic interregional cooperation network Alsace - Lower Silesia in the area of ​​students and scientists exchange (bilateral cooperation, ERASMUS) as well as in joint education and scientific research programs. He organised and lectured classes at the College of Physics (ENSPS) and at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg (now the University of Strasbourg, UNISTRA).

In the years 2012-2014 he was the director of the Scientific Station of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Paris. In France he obtained the title „Outstanding university professor”. At the same time in June 17th, 2013 he was awarded the title of professor by the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland.
