Anna Grzelak

PhD

Anna Grzelak graduated with from the Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw and obtained her Honors PhD in biology with a specialization in genetics (2003). She obtained a post-graduate diploma in Industrial Property Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (2007). She underwent the attorney course offered by the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys and obtained qualifications as Polish Patent Attorney (2008), followed by two years of postgraduate studies on European Patent Law at Centre d’Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Industrielle, the University of Strasbourg, France. In 2014, she passed the EQE examination, and became a European Patent Attorney. She is also licensed to represent clients before the European Union Intellectual Property Office in matters relating to community trademarks and industrial designs.

Since 2009, Anna is a partner at WTS Patent Attorneys, prior to that, she spent seven years in another large patent agency in Warsaw. For a few years, she was also an Intellectual Property advisor for the University of Warsaw. She specializes in the protection of technical solutions, especially in the areas of biotechnology, pharmacy, human and veterinary medicine, and patent searches.

She advises in the strategy of obtaining and maintaining Exclusive rights, IP due- diligence, conducts numerous patent proceedings in Poland and abroad. She is frequent speaker at conferences and seminars.
