Leo Turno graduated from the Faculty of Electronics at the Warsaw University of Technology (MSc) in 1991. He obtained his MBA degree from INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France) in 1996.
Leo Turno coordinated projects and managed specific work packages in international R&D consortia funded by the Horizon 2020 scheme.
He initiated a networking scheme through set of international workshops for Lukasiewicz Research Network institutes and their scientific counterparts in Finland and Spain. Key Polish industry players such as KGHM, Grupa AZOTY and Grupa LOTOS participated directing scientists into practical research areas. One hundred Polish scientists benefited from this scheme. The scheme identified dozens potential areas of international co-operation in truly applied scientific areas.
In his earlier career, Leo Turno managed a press agency with 20 staff in 3 different countries. He worked for several high-tech and pharmaceutical Blue Chip companies in Poland, Scotland and Switzerland where he held positions in sales, marketing, manufacturing and finance. Following corporate route he embarked on a general and project management career path in entrepreneurial ventures. He cofounded an Insead Alumni Association in Poland.
Certified mediator. Leo Turno gained good communication skills through experience as a manager of teams and companies.
